We’ll assess the perfect size and location for your garden, create detailed planting plans, and provide a complete design with material specifications and a clear cost estimate.
From there, we’ll handle the entire build and installation, ensuring your garden is ready to thrive. You’ll also receive all the guidance you need to care for it with confidence.

SITE VISIT & MEETING
We’ll kick start the process with an evaluation of your growing site to better understand your location.
We’ll also use this time to collect all necessary data and measurements of infrastructure, grading, and sun exposure.

GARDEN DESIGN
We’ll determine the most suitable location and size for your garden based on a variety of factors, and provide planting plans that indicate suggested plants, along with their specific locations, quantities, and proximities to other plants.
And then for the really fun part - we’ll get to work on a custom garden design! We’ll create a mood board to identify the desired look and feel of your garden, and then dive into details on materiality and design features.

ESTIMATE & SCHEDULE
Once the design is complete, we’ll provide an itemized cost estimate for all components of your garden, including: all materials, accessories, soil, plants, and irrigation systems.
We will also provide a schedule indicating the estimated timeline for installation.
A cost estimate for regular garden maintenance by a skilled member of our edible garden team will also be provided.

INSTALL & CARE NOTES
The final and most exciting step is building and installing your edible garden, down to the the soil, compost and plants you’ll need to fill your beds.
And before we’re done, we’ll guide you through the process of tending your garden by supplying a detailed calendar that indicates the specific times of year and instructions for starting seeds, transplanting / planting, harvesting and tending to each of your plants.
Frequently Asked Questions-
We prioritize aligning our designs with our clients’ budgets. We ask that budget constraints be disclosed at the beginning of the design process in order to work efficiently. An itemized budget for the garden build will be issued at the end of the design phase, and is valid for 3 months.

Two revisions are included within the standard scope of services for a garden design phase. Should the project require more, an additional cost will be negotiated. We strive to make our clients happy by understanding your goals and needs at the beginning of a project to promote an efficient and symbiotic working process.

Once you are a Sproutwell client, we are happy to support your garden-tending efforts by answering any questions you have via email. If there is an in-depth issue you are trying to solve or need more support than can be covered in an email exchange, we recommend purchasing a Coaching Session as an add-on service. Sproutwell also offers on-going garden maintenance at an additional cost for all clients that purchase our Design & Build service.
