After an initial site visit to understand your space and goals, we’ll recommend the ideal garden size and location, along with tailored planting plans and a detailed growing schedule.

SITE VISIT & MEETING
We’ll kick start the process with an evaluation of your growing site to better understand your location.
We’ll also use this time to collect all necessary data and measurements of infrastructure, grading, and sun exposure.

LOCATION PLAN
We’ll determine the most suitable location and size for your edible garden based on a variety of factors, including: sunlight exposure, grading, and appropriate available space.
Next, we’ll provide a plan drawing indicating the proposed size and location of your garden within the context of your property. We’ll also include information on hours of sun exposure throughout the course of the year, and considerations for an irrigation system if desired.

PLANTING PLANS
Next up - planting plans! We’ll produce drawings that indicate suggested plants, along with their specific locations, quantities, and proximities to other plants.
Our planting plans take into consideration your food preferences, what will grow best at your site, and what plants will compliment one another.
Plans are produced for spring, summer, and fall growing seasons.

PLANTING CALENDAR
Plants grow at different types of year, and require different care and growing conditions. It can be confusing…we know.
We’ll guide you through the process of tending your garden by supplying a detailed calendar that indicates the specific times of year and instructions for starting seeds, transplanting / planting, harvesting and tending to each of the plants in your edible garden.
Frequently Asked Questions-
After we hear from you, we will reach out to set up an introductory phone call. During this conversation, we will gather information on your site location, and discuss your needs to understand exactly what you’re looking for. As a follow up, we will send a proposal that outlines our deliverables in more detail, along with a fee and payment schedule. We require an initial deposit in order to get started, and to set up your site assessment and in-person meeting.

This service does not include a garden design or estimated costs to build your physical garden. If you would like to add garden design and an accompanying budget into your project scope, we will provide an additional fee for that service. If you wish to have Sproutwell design and install your garden for you, that is offered as a separate Design & Build service. We are alway happy to modify offerings to accommodate individual client needs.

Once you are a Sproutwell client, we are happy to support your garden-tending efforts by answering any questions you have via email. If there is an in-depth issue you are trying to solve or need more support than can be covered in an email exchange, we recommend purchasing a Coaching Session as an add-on service. Sproutwell also offers on-going garden maintenance at an additional cost for all clients that purchase our Design & Build service.
