Why We Grow

A woman in a white t-shirt and floral patterned overalls stands in front of a raised bed holding a basket filled with chive seedlings.

Sproutwell’s founder, Kristen Svorka, started her first edible garden to make home cooking more exciting. What grew from there was a passion for helping others experience the joy, calm, and empowerment that comes from growing their own food.

Today, Kristen designs custom, climate-resilient, and high-performance gardens for all kinds of spaces and skill levels, proving that with the right help, anyone can grow something beautiful, productive, and uniquely their own.

Sproutwell is featured in the June 2025 issue of Hudson Valley Table Magazine. This four-page spread dives into how the company got started, what inspires Kristen’s garden designs, and why raised beds don’t have to be boring.
