The Food 2050 series is a wildly inspirational look at what 10 groups of people from around the world are doing to improve our food systems from the ground up.

This series is essential viewing for everyone interested in becoming a conscious eater and more responsible global citizen. All are worth watching, but here are some of my favorites:

South Dakota, United States

The Food Sovereignty Initiative in South Dakota empowers regional food entrepreneurs to learn sustainable practices such as seed breeding, regenerative farming, indigenous recipes, and sustainable buffalo harvesting.

Lima, Peru

Groups of people are building fog catchers and rooftops gardens to fight wealth inequality and provide clean drinking water and fresh produce to the people of Lima, Peru.

Dali, China

Mama’s Kitchen In Dali, China emphasizes plant-rich, less-meat diets to combat health issues plaguing the country due to excessive meat and processed foods in common diets.
